2005 COED MID-SUMMER SOFTBALL LEAGUE

Thank you for your interest in the 2005 Coed Wall Recreation Mid-Summer Softball League.

Enclosed you will find applications for the 2005 Coed Mid-Summer Softball Leagues. This year we will be offering one division   The games will be played primarily Wednesdays or Thursdays.

The 2005 entry fee will be $500.  Your ASA sanction fee is included in the fee. To guarantee a spot in the 2005 Wall Recreation League, please return the enclosed application along with a deposit in the amount of $200 payable to ASA Monmouth County by July 1, 2005. After that date, it will be on a first-come-first -served basis.

The league is scheduled to begin August 1 and run through October 15, with playoffs ending (weather-permitting) by November 15.

Each team will have to field a team with a MINIMUM of 5 women and 5 men on the field in each game with an alternating batting order (guy/girl/guy/girl/etc).  If a man walks, he will advance to second base and the following woman will have the option of either taking first base as a walk or hitting.  All other Coed rules will apply, including the Wall C Men's Home Run Rule (each team will be allowed to hit no more than one home run per inning).  Men will hit a regulation .44/.375 12 inch ball while women will hit an 11 inch ball.

This season only ASA approved bats will be allowed in the league, so choose your equipment accordingly.  We are also limited to a maximum of 8 teams, so you should REGISTER EARLY.

The Wall Softball League has estabalished its own web site.  There will be a daily update which will include all rainouts and rescheduling, so you or any team member will be able to go to our web site to check the status of games, the schedule (for any changes), or the standings and scoreboard.  Each team will also have the responsibility of emailing their scores within 24 hours to our web site.  Send all scores to scores@wallsoftball.com so the standings can be promptly updated and viewed by all.
